Did you know you can now contact 999 by Text Message

The emergency services now have a text service. You will need to register in advance for this by following these steps:

Text REGISTER to 999

You will receive a text message back saying you are now registered. 

When needing an emergency service such as police, just simply text:

Police 

and then add your message for example: 

"a fight is happening between a group of men in Cutty Sark Gardens".

You use the same ethos for FIRE, AMBULANCE and COASTGUARD.
