Hello everyone - I am sharing responses below from Chris Horn, developer, to questions raised at our recent meeting to discuss the redevelopment of this site. First of all I can confirm that each of the three properties is detached and is two storeys high and that none has car parking provided as part of the scheme. Our expectation in common with standard practice at the Royal Borough of Greenwich is that future residents at the three address points will also be permanently excluded from joining any local CPZ’s. There was an interesting discussion about whether the site should be gated. My recollection is that there was some ambivalence over this in previous discussions with the council. However, I took away from the meeting a unanimous preference amongst local residents that there should be a gate and our application will now specify this. Hello everyone, Please join us on Wednesday evening, 6:30pm in the back room of the Ashburnham Arms for a conversation with Chris Horn, client project lead, to present the revised application to build three houses to replace the garages on Ashburnham Place (opposite St. Marks Centre). Originally submitted as a larger development to construct five houses, and with planning permissions refused, this is being brought back as a smaller scheme following advice from the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Hannah Cornett, the architect involved with the planning, will also be in attendance. Royal Borough of Greenwich invites us to their neighbourhood management trial community feedback sessions. These trials began on 27 November 2024 to improve air quality, reduce traffic, and make it safer and easier for people to walk and cycle in west and east Greenwich. The Council notes both neighbourhoods suffer from high levels of air pollution and traffic, despite the fact many residents do not own a car. In West Greenwich, feedback sessions are talking place on Tuesday 20 May and Wednesday 21 May. They will be conducted 7-8:30pm at West Greenwich Art Centre, 141 Greenwich High Road, SE10 8JL.
