Lewisham College redevelopment plans: the next chapter

Following two rounds of consultation last year and extensive discussions with the local authorities, RER London have submitted updated proposals for the redevelopment of the Deptford Bridge site to both Greenwich and Lewisham councils.

RER are holding two community drop-in events to showcase the updated proposals. Members of the project team will be there to answer questions, discuss the proposals, and explain the guiding principles behind the application.

Please consider attending these events which will be taking place at Cockpit Deptford 18-22 Creekside SE8 3DZ on the following dates:
  • Saturday 31 January 2pm to 5pm
  • Tuesday 3 February 5pm to 8pm
Further details can be found on the attached leaflet. If you do plan to make it to either of these events, please do let RER know which day you’re thinking of attending. Please also submit any questions in advance about the community events or the submitted proposals.

The ATA is seeking to organize a second community event soon so we can discuss together.

Hello everyone - as you know, plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of the Lewisham College Deptford Campus into a complex of hundreds of new flats. These plans have elicited resident concerns about the potential impact of such a significant development on both neighbourhood and skyline. On Wednesday 7 May, 7pm at the Ashburnham Arms, please join us for a discussion of the redevelopment project. 75 Ashburnham Grove - UPDATE & ACTION

The property is now being filled with vulnerable people housed through the Noble Tree Charity working with Luton Borough Council.   An updated management plan has been produced by the developer (Grosvenor House) and Noble Tree setting out how it will operate. The community has been invited to look at the document and feedback.   Peter Ferenz (a local resident) has kindly offered to collate community responses.
