Our Safer Neighbourhoods Police team have notified us of a recent attempted distraction burglary in Ashburnham Place. Two males posing as refuse bin collectors attempted to gain access to a property. Fortunately they were disturbed by an upstairs tenant of the address who was streetwise and savvy, ensuring they got  away with nothing. There have been quite a few incidents of bogus callers and bogus workers operating in the Triangle area recently. Please remain vigilant at all times, if necessary ask for ID and check it is genuine.
