Hello everyone - I am pleased to announce that Greenwich Osteopaths have joined the ATA Card discount scheme. Greenwich Osteopaths was established in 1986. In 2007, Glynn Booker took over the practice and has been teaching Osteopathy for 16 years (15 years as a consultant equivalent). The practice is run as a small, personal business treating a wide range of painful conditions anywhere in the both. Problems treated include lower back/shoulder/neck pain, pins & needles, numbness, stiffness/reduced mobility, dizziness, and also the occasional/unusual/offbeat ailments. All ages welcome and treated! Treatment may include a range of techniques: massage, joint waggling, clicking or cranio-sacral. All of these are delivered with the principal aim of making the technique applied as comfortable as possible. Current pricing is  £80 for initial consultation and treatment, and  £70 for subsequent treatments. ATA cardholders are entitled to a 10% discount on these rates. If interested...

Many AT residents are interested in (and critical of) proposed redevelopment plans - if available, please do attend to express your views. September has arrived and it’s time for another local history talk.  It will be on  Thursday 17 September at 7.30pm  in the lovely West Greenwich Library.    Some of you may have attended Vaughan Ginn’s previous talk about the journalist Gareth Jones, one of the first journalists to report on the 1932-33 Great Famine in Soviet Ukraine. This talk follows on from that to tell the story of John Hughes, a semi-literate Welshman, who set up the highly successful steel mining town Husovska (Hughesovka) named after him in Ukraine. It tells the story of his humble beginnings, his move to the Greenwich area, the connections he made, what happened to Husovska post revolution and the fascinating Kruschev connection.    Talk title: The Greenwich Ukranian Welsh Connection  Our speaker is Vaughan Ginn who lives on Greenwich South Street.   ...

The informal agenda for the meeting includes: Glyphosate usage and opt-out program: update and actions (including draft survey, and pending Council update) Engaging Blissett Street residents in unused land patch (including draft survey) Ways forward for more trees and less fly tipping Improving Blackheath Road (including conversations with Street Trees for Living and Wickes local manager about trees and green space to act as a deterrent to fly tipping)   And of course, any other business of interest to AT residents.

Hello everyone - at the suggestion of an AT resident, I am circulating the below RBG guidelines around building works noise at the weekends. More detailed information can be found by clicking on this link . In the  Royal Borough of Greenwich , general construction and noisy building works are restricted to  8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays , with  no noisy work allowed on Sundays or bank holidays . Weekend Building Hours Saturday:  8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (noisy activities like power tools, hammers, and heavy plant equipment are strictly limited to this window). Sunday:  Prohibited (no noisy construction or demolition work permitted). Bank Holidays:  Prohibited. (Note: Weekday construction hours run from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday).
