Community event planning - London Zoo outing, September 2026

Hello everyone (and happy Friday) - sharing an update from our friends at Greenwich Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Devonshire Drive.

Members of the church would like to organise a community day trip to London Zoo made possible via the Community Access Scheme. The goal is to provide a fun and inclusive outing for residents while also strengthening community connections.

With the Community Access Scheme, discounted tickets would be available for households meeting certain criteria, such as:

  • Local residents within the Ashburnham Triangle / Greenwich area
  • Households on low incomes or receiving benefits
  • Families with children
  • Older residents or individuals experiencing social isolation
  • Carers and those supporting vulnerable community members

To help gauge interest for planning such an event, likely to happen in late September:
  • Please share word of the event idea with neighbors and friends.
  • Please contact Candy Springer, from Greenwich SDA, by clicking here.
