A
reminder that the next local history group talk
will be on Thursday 27 November, starting 7:30 at West Greenwich
Library.
The featured speaker is Lynne Dixon. Lynne researches and writes about women’s history. Her
talk will be on The Women of Greenwich Project, it
will include: the women who founded the Mother and Baby Hospital of
Woolwich; the costume designer Natasha Korniloff (who lived on Egerton Drive
and is best known for creating costumes for David Bowie); and the inventor Marie
Celeste-de-Casteras Sinibaldi (who in the 1860s lived on Greenwich South
Street).
Lynne
will speak for about 45 minutes and then there will be time for questions and
discussion.
