Next local history group talk: 27 November, 7:30pm, West Greenwich Library
Hello everyone - sharing a note received from Barbara Reid, member of the Ashburnham Triangle Association focused on the area's local history:
The next local history group talk will be on Thursday 27 November, starting 7:30pm at West Greenwich Library.
Our speaker is Lynne Dixon. Lynne researches and writes about women’s history. Her talk will be on The Women of Greenwich Project, and it will include the story of the women who founded the Mother and Baby Hospital of Woolwich, the legend of Mrs. Abraham North, and the inventor Marie Celeste-de-Casteras Sinibaldi (who in the 1860s lived on Greenwich South Street).
