Since swapping life as a mental health nurse for the comedy stage in 1987, Jo Brand has become one of Britain’s most distinctive and celebrated comedians. Starting out on the London cabaret circuit as “The Sea Monster”, she quickly gained a cult following and went on to earn the Perrier Pick of the Fringe nomination at Edinburgh before twice winning the British Comedy Award for Best Live Performer.
Jo’s career spans her acclaimed Channel 4 series Through the Cakehole and All the Way to Worcester, her BAFTA-winning performance in Getting On, and countless appearances on Have I Got News For You, QI, Mock the Week, Countdown and more. Critics have hailed her as “the best female comic in Britain” (Daily Mirror).
Now, in this intimate evening at Greenwich Theatre, Jo will share stories from her remarkable career and answers questions in a live Q&A.✨ All proceeds from this event support Greenwich Theatre’s work on stage and in the community.
