Move It or Lose It: new fitness classes now available locally

New fitness classes are now available in Greenwich West Community Centre.

Designed specifically for older generations, these sessions are held every Tuesday (10-11am) in the main hall of Greenwich West. People are welcome to join at any time, and their first session is offered for free.

Sessions are being led by Sarah McGowan. Sarah trained with an organisation called Move it or Lose it and the exercises have been devised with Birmingham University's Centre for Healthy Ageing Research. The exercises can all be done seated or standing. All exercises are designed to have a purpose for everyday living whether that’s helping people maintain or improve their ability to reach for something on a shelf, carry their shopping, avoid falls or get from sit to stand. They are fun, too, and a great way to socialise.

Trainers or pumps are advisable and either exercise clothing or just comfortable clothing.

For more information, see the flyer below - and do reach out to Sarah by phone/email with any questions!
