Maureen Romeril, February 25th The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that it will close 64 courts within the next two years including Greenwich Magistrate Court on Blackheath Road. The Court was built in 1909 and is a Grade II listed building situated in a reasonably large site in the Ashburnham Conservation area. It will be interesting to see what happens to this site. The Grade II listing will restrict major redevelopment of the building.
Please join us at the Ashburnham Arms ( 25 Ashburnham Grove, London SE10 8UH) on 5 February, 6:30pm for our second community discussion about the redevelopment plans. Food/snacks will be provided. Confirmed attendees include: Norman Adams, Greenwich Society (Chair) Tim Barnes, Greenwich Society (Events, Planning, Traffic & Support) Mick Delap, CreekLink Heritage Trail (Co-Founder) Peter Ferenz, Ashburnham Triangle Association (Chair) Sheila Keeble, Greenwich Society (Planning) Councillor Aidan Smith, Royal Borough of Greenwich For information on upcoming consultations and details from the previous ATA post, please click here .
