Where there's Ash there's brass

Encore! Encore! Punters in the Ash on Thursday night had the rare treat of joining in with carols and Christmas songs played by Paul Barrett of Ashburnham Grove, affectionately known as Trombone Paul, and four friends, all professional musicians (I'm sorry, I've lost one behind his instrument). Publican Andy asked Paul and his friends to play. Thanks to all of them. It's not often that sort of thing happens. We were in luck. Bring on more.

'Chris has been a highly valued contributor to the Triangle over the years. I agree with him that his sign does what all Conservation Area applications must do - it preserves and enhances the character of the Conservation Area, because: ·   it has historical precedence - see the photo below of a 1940 sign of the same size on the same site ·    it is very much in character with the established signs in the Greenwich High Road part of the Conservation Area  ·   it is very modestly lit, less bright than nearly all these nearby signs (with LEDs providing 1200 lumens per square metre) ·    its quirky and distinctive design is in tune with the identity Chris has successfully created for the Golden Chippy, as an integral part of today'...

ATA Carols Night, Monday 18th December

There'll be singing in the streets this coming Monday. Warm up first with mulled wine, chestnuts and mince pies at the Ash from 6.15pm.  Set off about 6.30pm.  Come back to the pub when you like - we'll all be back by 8pm for food and quiz.

Christmas Carols, 7DA Church, Sunday 17th December

Renato Cristofoli says: 'The Greenwich Adventist Church in Devonshire Drive will be hosting for the Ashburnham Triangle community on Sunday 17 December 2017 at 2:30pm. The Christmas season is an opportunity for us to share our gifts with the community, and the church is presenting a Christmas Carol singing extravaganza.
