Two Significant Planning Applications for the Triangle

After a quiet summer the Planning Hub has been notified of two Planning Applications within the Triangle which we thought you might be interested in. The first we have previously sent invitations out on inviting you to see proposals for a small redevelopment at the Guildford Arms. Their Application has now been submitted and is live on the Council's Planning Portal at https://planning.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/online-applications/ under reference 17/2340/F. The proposal is for the construction of a 3 storey residential dwelling fronting Devonshire Drive replicating the former dwelling known as 61 Devonshire Drive, and the conversion of the first and second floors of the existing public house from pub/restaurant use to create a single flat and the demolition of the current rear extension to facilitate the redevelopment of lower ground floor and ground floor for the Public House.
The planning portal has all of the application details and can be used to offer comments of support or objection.
The second application is outside the Triangle on the boundary but does affect the streetscape and views of Triangle residents on Greenwich South Street. The subject property is 123 Greenwich South Street which many of you will recognise as Majestic Wine's property and car park which was in a previous lift a petrol station hence the car parking to the front of the store. The property owners have are proposing to demolish the existing building and to redevelop the site to create nine flats over a retail unit over two and three storeys, with parking to the rear accessed from Lindsell Street. The proposal does alter the street scape heading south towards Lewisham and will impact on those neighbouring properties and those residents on the opposite side of Greenwich South Street. Again this application can be found on the Planning Portal using the reference 17/1914/F which has further details and as above, comments of support or objection can be made online.
Alternatively, letters of support or objection to either application can be made in writing to the following address (please use the full reference number shown above):
Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills
Woolwich Centre
5th Floor
35 Wellington Street
London
SE18 6HQ
If anyone requires any assistance on any planning matters, or either of the applications above and assistance in supporting or objecting to these applications please do not hesitate to contact our Planning Hub Chair Simon Barrs on si_barrs@hotmail.com
