Our Safer Neighbourhoods Police team have notified us of a recent attempted distraction burglary in Ashburnham Place.Two males posing as refuse bin collectors attempted to gain access to a property. Fortunately they were disturbed by an upstairs tenant of the address who was streetwise and savvy, ensuring they got away with nothing.
There have been quite a few incidents of bogus callers and bogus workers operating in the Triangle area recently.
Please remain vigilant at all times, if necessary ask for ID and check it is genuine. If you do see anyone acting suspiciously or have any doubts contact the Police on 101.
