Tall Ships in Greenwich over Easter

Photo: Neil Sinclair
Thirty tall sailing ships will be in Greenwich and Woolwich by Thursday 13th April, leaving on 16th, Easter Sunday afternoon. The Parade of Sail, as they head out to sea, is billed for 5pm.

It's a four-day festival, with entertainment on shore - street theatre, giant octopus, bicycle ballet, music etc. See Meridian magazine and the Greenwich Council website, which also has info on buying tickets to go on some larger ships, moored or moving.

The race goes to Quebec via Portugal, Bermuda and Boston - and then back to Le Havre by late August.

High tide on Sunday 5.15pm.

Weather forecast good.
