Have you heard? The Hill Restaurant is now Matiz (on the Hill)!

Image
Dear residents - did you know The Hill is now known as Matiz? Matiz, located on Royal Hill, is a proud participant in the ATA Card scheme. They have recently rebranded but continue to serve the same amazing Latin and Spanish recipes in their family-run restaurant. Haven't been? What're you waiting for?

Good news for residents: the ATA Card is back!

Image
To all Ashburnham Triangle residents - the ATA Card scheme is back! You may have received a flyer through your door letting you know how to get a new ATA Card to take advantage of discounts offered to residents by local businesses. If you haven't and would like to receive a free card, and you live within the Ashburnham Triangle area , please email ATA Chair Peter Ferenz (petermferenz@gmail.com) with your address details. For the latest list of participating businesses and offers, please visit the ATA Card section of this site. Local businesses have been provided with images of the new ATA Card to share with their staff - if you encounter any issues, please let Peter know. And whenever new businesses join the scheme, you will receive an email from the ATA site. Efforts are under way to engage more businesses in the scheme. If you run/manage a local business (or know someone who does) and want to discuss getting involved with the scheme, please contact Peter. Enjoy!

With the help of our guides you will get down onto the river bed, explore the ecology and wade into the natural and social histories of this amazing urban space. By observing and appreciating the variety of wildlife present in Deptford Creek we hope we can foster a greater connection between people and the urban nature around them. A Low Tide Walk takes about 2 hours, which includes putting on waders and preparing for the river, walking up and back down the river, using nets to observe the wildlife under the water, and washing waders and hands after the walk. Please arrive promptly for the time stated on the event. Waders and mud sticks are provided. For more information, please click here .
